AH-mazing. Family and friends...It was so great seeing all the different people from all over my life. As always I suspect the show was really about getting all those bodies into one room; that was the real "body theology." Art openings are secretly intended to facilitate party-spirit. If you need a conversation piece, then the art can supply, but it's really all about getting people together. One 5th grade kid asked what "Theology" meant. I said ology is "to study or investigate", and theo is "Spirit, like the Human Spirit." He said, "so it is 'Body Spirit.'" Yes! yes yes yes, I thought. That's a better name than Body Theology! hah! It reminds me of the Forest Spirit in Princess Mononoke. "Body Spirit".
