Kimono party

Today I woke up early to go to a tea ceremony. It took place on the side of the mountain in a 300-year-old thatched roof house.

The tea ceremony was very mindful and slow.

Before the ceremony I found an old lady sitting peaceful by a window. Immediately, as if moved by some invisible hand, I entered the quit room and sat down next to her. She looked over at me, smiled, and then looked back outside. For a minute or so we just sat silently together, breathing, looking out the window at the glittering garden and hills, the rain tapping on the thatched roof, the light dancing with the leaves, she turned to me, and said “I love rainy days.” We began talking. She asked me to hand her the flute by my side and began playing it, like a bird, like an angel, chilling it was so beautiful, the soft pitter patter of the rain swimming alongside the ups and downs of the sounds, I was in heaven, soft and warm, the breath of the old lady, the sound of people and footsteps, the light on the leaves, the pain in my legs, the light on the leaves, the old lady’s breath. She looked more beautiful than red and yellow mountainside, and I never wanted her song to end.

I will write more about the actual tea ceremony later.
Here is a picture of a ninja-like pilgrim I saw on the street.
