I worked on this more today. I still have a ways to go, but i think you can get the general idea of what i am trying to say. I think it's named "remembrance" or "anamnesis." id love to here your comments.

i think the shading on the feather is very well done. starting with the base, the tone gradually fades from light to dark, to be silhouetted against the bright background of the cloud. it's really good at taking the eye in without the eye knowing.
